Record a 60-second demo
After this lesson you can: Produce the artifact a hiring manager actually watches.
First: Deploy it on a free tier
Watch
- How I used Google Gemini to track everything in my house (Kaggle Competition Entry) - Daniel Bourke, 5 min. A concise project demo from a practical ML educator models the artifact recruiters are likely to watch.
- Using Machine Learning to Replicate Airbnb's Amenity Detection Part 1: Overview - Daniel Bourke, 15 min. An overview-style project video can help engineers frame what their built system does and why it matters.
Notes
A hiring manager is unlikely to clone your repo, install dependencies, create accounts, seed data, and debug your setup just to understand your project. The artifact they actually consume is usually a short video that proves the thing exists, shows the user-facing value, and makes the project easy to remember. Your deployed app matters, but the demo is the bridge between “I built this” and “someone can quickly see why it is impressive.”
