What we store about you

Your email address, if you sign in. That is the whole account: Klay never stores a password, because sign-in works by emailing you a single-use link rather than by checking one.

Whether you have bought the course. This is one row saying that a payment succeeded, used to decide which lesson bodies unlock for you.

Nothing else about you is stored on our servers. We do not keep a record of which lessons you opened, how long you watched, or what you searched.

What stays in your browser

The light/dark setting, and - if you use the study timer - which lessons you have marked done and how many blocks you have finished. Both live in your browser's local storage. They are never uploaded, and clearing your browser data removes them permanently. The study page has a button that does the same thing.

Who else processes your data

Supabase

Stores your email address and issues the sign-in link. Our authentication provider.

Dodo Payments

Takes the payment as merchant of record. Card details are entered on their checkout and are never sent to, seen by, or stored by Klay.

Vercel

Serves this website and keeps standard request logs, including IP addresses.

Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel

Measure traffic and advertising. All three are disabled outright if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal - that check runs before any of them load.

Mixpanel

Measures how the site is actually used - which pages get opened, which lessons get read, where people give up. If you are signed in it is told your account's internal ID number, so that a visit on your phone and a visit on your laptop count as one person; it is never told your email address or your name. Signing out disconnects it. Like the three above, it is disabled outright if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

YouTube

Every lesson video is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set advertising cookies until you press play. The videos are hosted by YouTube and belong to the channels that made them.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone other than the processors listed above, each of which is doing a specific job for us.

We do not email you unless you ask us to or we are answering you. There is no marketing list attached to buying the course.

Deleting your account

Email klayedu.com@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and ask. We will delete the account and the email address behind it. If you have bought the course, we keep the payment record itself, because tax law requires it - that record is a transaction, not a profile.
